How To Choose An Emote in Helldivers 2?
You can’t change emotes during a mission. To choose an emote, you need to be on your ship or your ally’s ship.
Once you’re there, go to the armory where you customize your weapons and armor. Click on the third tab labeled “Character“, then select “Emote“, which is the third option in the list between “Voice Pack” and “Victory Pose“.
Here, you can see and choose from all the emotes you have unlocked. Remember, it won’t show any emotes you don’t have.
The default emote, which everyone gets for free, is called the Casual Salute. It’s okay, but not very impressive.
How to Use Emotes in Helldivers 2?
Once you’ve chosen your emote, you can use it anywhere, whether you’re fighting Terminids on the planet or safely on your ship.
If you’re using a keyboard and mouse, press the ‘B‘ key to use an emote. If you’re using a DualSense controller on PC or PS5, hold the Left button on the D-Pad.
Remember, you need to hold the button; just pressing it will swap your weapon. You can check your controller layout or keybindings in the Options Menu.
How to Get Additional Emotes in Helldivers 2?
To get more emotes in Helldivers 2, go to the Acquisition Center and select Warbond Progression.
Here, you can buy emotes and other items using Medals, which you earn by completing missions, operations, and Personal Order daily missions.
Here are the emotes you can get in Helldivers 2:
- Casual Salute: Free by default.
- Explosive Hardshake: Costs 8 Medals, found on Warbond Page 3.
- Hug: Costs 20 Medals, found on Warbond Page 4.
- High Five: Costs 20 Medals, found on Warbond Page 5.
- Scout Handshake: Costs 35 Medals, found on Warbond Page 7.
- Rock Paper Scissors: Costs 50 Medals, found on Warbond Page 8.
How to Change Your Emote in Helldivers 2?
To change your equipped emote in Helldivers 2, follow these steps while on your ship:
- Return to Your Ship: Head back to your ship.
- Go to the War Table: Navigate towards the War Table.
- Find the Armory: Look for the Armory on the left side of your ship just before you reach the War Table room.
- Interact with the Armor: Interact with the Armor on your wall to open the “Armory” menu.
- Select the Character Tab: Choose the “Character” tab in your Armory.
- Click the Emote Button: Click the “Emote” button listed under “Voice Pack” in the Character menu.
