With so many cool and lovable characters to choose from, you might be wondering when you can start pulling in Wuthering Waves. The good news is, that you can start almost immediately, but you’ll need to complete a few story missions first.

How to unlock Pulls/Wishes/Convene in Wuthering Waves?
However, when you start Wuthering Waves, you’ll quickly notice that the Convene system isn’t available right away.
Many features like the Echo system are also locked initially. To unlock these features, including the Convene system, you’ll need to complete specific in-game quests.
Here’s what you need to do during the First Resonance quest to unlock the Convene system:
- Wake up as Rover: You’ll start as Rover and meet characters named Yangyang and Chixia.
- Fight the first Tacet Discord boss: During your adventure, you’ll encounter the first Tacet Discord boss and meet Baizhi.
- Head to Jinzhou city: Make your way to Jinzhou city where you’ll meet Sanhua. Sanhua will give you some tokens that are crucial for the next step.
- Investigate the tokens: Take these tokens to the research laboratory and meet Mortefi and Baizhi. They’ll provide you with further guidance on how to proceed.
- Complete the fighting simulation: Engage in a fighting simulation to test your skills and progress further in the questline.
- Talk to Baizhi once again: After completing the simulation, return to Baizhi. By doing so, you’ll unlock the Convene system, allowing you to start pulling characters.
As you can see, it won’t take long to unlock the gacha system in Wuthering Waves if you follow the main quests.
After meeting Sanhua and unlocking the open world, you’ll have access to all areas.
