If you’re considering rerolling your account in Wuthering Waves, there are a few things to remember.

If you’ve played other gacha games like Wuthering Waves, you might know about rerolling. It’s a strategy often used by free-to-play and low-spending players. Rerolling means making new accounts until you get what you want from the gacha system.

If you already have a favorite five-star unit from the launch character list or from developer information, you can aim to get them early on through rerolling.

How to Reroll Tiers in Wuthering Waves?

In Wuthering Waves, if you want to reroll, you’ll need to create a new account either by logging in through a social media app or registering separately. It’s not advisable to use both methods on the same account, as it could cause bugs and erase your progress.

If you’re okay with the ping, you can also try rerolling on different servers using the same account.

Once you’ve made a new account, the progress you should aim for before rerolling depends on what you’re trying to achieve. Here are the reroll tiers:

Short Reroll: This is for hoping to get lucky with your initial pulls

  • Progress the story until you unlock the Convene system by talking to Baizhi.
  • Use the 20 Lustrous Tides you get from pre-registration rewards in the mail on either the Novice or Permanent Character Convene to try your luck.
  • Reach Union level 5 to get five more Lustrous Tides.
  • If you log in after May 24 or 25, you can get an extra ten Lustrous or Radiant Tides respectively.
  • If you don’t get what you want, try again with a new account.

Medium Reroll: This is for targeting a specific character from the Novice Convene

  • Repeat the steps from the Short Reroll tier until you reach Union level 15.
  • Collect four Sonance Caskets and submit them for another two Tides.
  • With this method, you’ll have 40 Lustrous Tides, which is enough to guarantee the first five-star on the Novice Convene.
  • If you don’t get the desired five-star, reroll with a new account.

Long Reroll: This is for trying your luck at the limited banner

  • Follow the steps above and after May 25, you’ll receive ten free Radiant Tides in the mail.
  • Progress through quests or explore until you have at least 20 pulls on the Character Event Convene banner.
  • Reroll if you don’t get what you’re aiming for.
  • Note: The chance of getting a five-star character on each pull in these banners is only 0.8 percent, so this method is not recommended unless you really want to go for it.

Is It Worth Rerolling in Wuthering Waves?

If you’re not sure whether to keep playing on your first account or try rerolling for better luck, let’s break it down. The simple answer is no, rerolling isn’t really worth it in this game. Here’s why:

You get a free standard five-star character in 40 pulls, and you can choose another one in the next 80 pulls. Plus, after getting the first copy, you can buy Wavebands for these characters using Afterglow Coral, which unlocks their Resonance Chain.

Considering how tough it is to get an early start in the game, you might have to make several new accounts before you’re satisfied. And even then, it might not feel worth all the effort in the end.
