2. Use the Shield Generator Backpack: This support Stratagem, available at level 20, creates a regenerating bubble shield that can be a lifesaver in tough situations. It’s essential for surviving higher difficulty levels when playing solo.
3. Utilize a Guard Dog and Turrets: If you haven’t reached level 20, a Guard Dog (like the Rover) can help you handle groups of weaker enemies. Automated turrets provide additional firepower and can distract enemies, giving you time to reload and resupply.
4. Be Stealthy and Avoid Fights: Avoid enemy patrols to minimize the number of fights and conserve ammo. Running away from a large fight rarely works as enemies are very persistent. Stealth can save you from unnecessary battles.
5. Speed is Key: Missions become more chaotic the longer they last, with enemies spawning more frequently. Focus on the main objectives and complete them quickly to avoid getting overwhelmed.
6. Choose Light Armor: Light armor provides extra speed and stamina, helping you stay mobile. The Scout passive ability is particularly useful for solo players, making you harder for enemies to detect.
7. Don’t Forget the SOS Beacon: If you need help during a mission, you can call in an SOS Beacon to try and connect with other Helldivers. An extra player can make a significant difference, though there’s no guarantee that someone will join.
