Battahl is the second kingdom you’ll visit after exploring Vermund In Dragon’s Dogma 2. But How to Get to Battahl in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

There’s plenty to keep you busy in Vermund, but eventually, the game will guide you to Battahl for quests like “Nation of the Lambent Flame,” “A Case of Sculptor’s Block”, and “The Ailing Arborheart”.

When you reach the Checkpoint Rest Town, you’ll encounter a massive gate blocking your way to Battahl, guarded by a rather grumpy sentry.

In this article, I will show you How to Get to Battahl in Dragon’s Dogma 2, whether you’re playing as a human or a beastren, and also reveal a secret hidden back entrance to the kingdom.

How to Get to Battahl in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

To enter Battahl officially, you must complete all of Captain Brant’s main story quests.

This starts with the initial three quests you get when you first meet him: “Monster Culling”, “The Caged Magistrate” and “Disa’s Plot”.

Completing these will lead to several more quests, eventually culminating in “Feast of Deception” and then “Nation of the Lambent Flame”.

When you start the “Nation of the Lambent Flame” quest, Captain Brant will give you a Beastren Border Entry Permit.

The catch is that this permit is only valid for beastren characters. If you’re playing as a beastren, you can enter Battahl without any issues. However, if you’re playing as a human, the guard will deny you entry.

But don’t worry, there is a workaround for this.

How to Get to Battahl As A Human in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

Inside the inn in Vernworth, there’s a book on one of the beds. Reading it gives you a useful tip on how to proceed.

Head to the Checkpoint Rest Town to the west and find Ibrahim’s Scrap Shop.

Ibrahim sells forgeries and other useful items, including the Jadeite Orb needed for another quest. What you need most, though, is the Beastren Mask, which costs 8,700 gold.

Once you have the Beastren Mask, equip it and talk to the guard at the gate.

He’ll let you through into Battahl. If you’re a human and need to return to Vermund, make sure to put the Beastren Mask back on.

How to Get to Battahl Without Passing the Checkpoint?

Yes, you can bypass the gate at Checkpoint Rest Town entirely. This route is perfect if you’re not on an official quest.

Be ready for a tough fight, though, as you’ll encounter several powerful monsters, including a chimera, on your way to Battahl.

Here’s How to Get to Battahl Without Passing the Checkpoint:

  1. Starting Point: Leave Checkpoint Rest Town heading north, as if you’re going back to Vernworth.
  2. The Bridge: Walk halfway across the bridge, then jump down into the riverbed below.
  3. Follow the River: Head west, following the river into the mountains.
  4. Mountain Pass: The river will turn into a mountain pass. Follow this path to reach Thunderclap Cave.
  5. Thunderclap Cave to Shutram Falls: Go through the cave, and you’ll come out at Shutram Falls. At this point, you will be in Battahl, past the checkpoint gate.

Rest and Resupply:

  • Campsite: Your first stop should be the campsite just south of the falls.
  • Zeplin’s Inn: If you’re in good shape, head back to the gate and stay at Zeplin’s Inn on the Battahl side of the checkpoint.

From the inn, it’s about a 15-minute run to Bakbattahl, the capital city of Battahl.
