Bakbattahl is a town located in the Beastren area of the Battahl region, just south of Checkpoint Rest Town in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

In this article, I will show you How to Get to Bakbattahl in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to Get to Bakbattahl in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

To reach Battahl, you must first complete the initial four main story missions given by Captain Brant. These missions are:

  1. Monster Culling
  2. The Caged Magistrate
  3. The Nameless Village
  4. The Stolen Throne

Next, you need to attend the coronation ceremony during the Feast of Deception quest to obtain an entry permit.

This permit allows you to pass through the fortress gate, but there’s a catch if you’re playing as a human: the permit is for a Beastren merchant.

To bypass this, head to the northwest Oxcart station in Vernworth. From there, travel to Rest Town for 200g, dealing with any ambushes along the way.

Once in Rest Town, find the Scrap Shop located in the left-hand corner on the map. Purchase a Beastren mask for 8700g.

It’s a steep price, but manageable at this stage of the game. Wear the mask and follow the main path to the fortress gate.

Show your pass to the guard, and you’ll unlock a new section of the map to explore.

From the Rest Town fortress gate, head south along the main road, which will lead you directly to the city of Bakbattahl. There’s no need to explore the smaller trails branching off the main route.

Alternatively, you can take an Oxcart from the station just beyond the fortress gate.

Along the way, you might encounter a quest to deal with the Coral Snakes gang, which is relatively simple. You’ll also find various monster hunting and escort missions.

For example, I found an escort mission to guide a soldier to the nearby Reverent Shrine. There, I unlocked the Trickster vocation by purchasing a fortune.

The journey to Battahl is fairly “dangerous“, with frequent encounters with monsters and bandits. However, there are fewer mini-boss enemies like cyclops, ogres, and minotaurs.

As you near Bakbattahl, you can ride the locals’ cable car system for a fun and scenic route into the city. Once there, you can explore its excellent shops and dive into its extensive list of quests.
