Do you want to know how to get Sulfur in Palworld?
You’ll need Sulfur to craft Gunpowder, which is essential for powering all the best weapons in the game, from the basic Musket to the powerful Rocket Launcher.
You can’t find Sulfur just anywhere; it’s not commonly dropped by wild Pals. You have to mine it in specific locations.
In this article, I will show you How to Get Sulfur in Palworld and where to farm sulfur in Palworld.
How to Get Sulfur in Palworld?
You can find plenty of sulfur deposits in the desert biome and a few more in the bamboo grove just west of it:
There are other rocks and ores in these areas, but you should look for the dirty yellow-ish rocks shown in the image above.
Here are some specific locations where you can find sulfur deposits:
- (-121, -122)
- (-153, -58)
- (-157, -112)
- (-173, -116)
You can mine sulfur with any pickaxe, and Pals of any mining level can help you farm it. Using at least a metal pickaxe (15 stone, 20 wood, 5 ingots) will make the job easier.
To make your trips more efficient, use Pals like Cattiva or Broncherry to increase your carry capacity so you can collect more sulfur in one go.
The desert area doesn’t have any teleport points, so it’s best to bring back as much sulfur as possible to minimize your trips.
For even more sulfur, you can explore the westernmost part of the map around the volcano, Mount Obsidian.
However, this mid-game area is filled with dangerous enemy Pals, so it’s safer to stick to the desert and bamboo grove early on.
Once you’re ready, you’ll find plenty of sulfur near Mount Obsidian.
There are seven sulfur deposits between the Eternal Pyre Tower Entrance fast travel point and the Tower of the Brothers of the Eternal Pyre at around (-588, -518).
How to Get Sulfur in Palworld’s Dungeons and Caves?
Sulfur is one of the resources you can find in the various Dungeons scattered across the Palworld map.
However, this isn’t a reliable method for farming Sulfur because Dungeon spawns are random, and no two Dungeons are the same.
You might get lucky and find a few Sulfur deposits in lower-level Dungeons, but it’s hit or miss.
Best Way to Farm and Transport Sulfur in Palworld
Sulfur, like other minerals such as Ore, is heavy. This means your inventory will fill up quickly, making it hard to move if you try to carry too much back to your base.
To farm Sulfur effectively, you have two main options: building a nearby base or improving your storage.
Build a Nearby Base: Once you upgrade your first base’s Palbox to level 10, you can unlock the ability to place a second Palbox base elsewhere in the overworld.
This allows you to create a dedicated base for farming important resources like Ore and Sulfur.
Setting up a farm in the Desert or Volcano Biome is a smart move when you start needing more Gunpowder and Ingots for crafting.
Upgrade Your Storage: If you prefer not to set up another base, you can increase your storage capacity.
This involves leveling up your player character and using stat points to increase your Strength stat.
Additionally, certain Pals, like Cattiva and Lunaris, have Partner Skills that boost your carrying capacity when they’re in your party.
These skills stack, so having multiple Cattivas in your party can significantly increase how much you can carry.
By using these strategies, you can efficiently farm and transport Sulfur in Palworld.
