As you explore Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll come across lots of cool stuff. Unlike some RPGs where you can fast travel anywhere, it’s not so easy here—it’s limited.

Some might find this a bit of a hassle, but it actually pushes you to explore more.

The game developers made sure you won’t get bored walking around the map. There’s always something new to find!

As you journey, you’ll run into towns, enemies, and loads of materials you need to upgrade your gear or make healing items for tough fights.

In Dragon’s Dogma 2 (DD2), Ogre Talon is a material you need to upgrade your gear. Here’s how to get it and what to do with it:

  1. Obtaining Ogre Talon: You can get Ogre Talon by defeating ogres in the game. These big, tough creatures drop Ogre Talons as loot when you defeat them. They might be found in specific areas or during certain quests.
  2. Using Ogre Talon: Once you have Ogre Talon in your inventory, you can use it at crafting stations or with blacksmiths to upgrade your equipment. It’s one of the key ingredients needed along with other materials to enhance your gear, making it stronger and more effective in battles.

So, watch for ogres during your adventures and collect Ogre Talons to improve your gear and become even more formidable in combat!

Ogre Talon comes from a special kind of Ogre called Grim Ogre. They’re not as common as regular Ogres, but they keep coming back in one spot. This means you can get more Ogre Talons without hunting around or waiting for Grim Ogres to show up.

After reaching Battahl, go southwest until you reach Wyrmsblood Forest, a forest with lots of trees.

Keep going through the forest, and you’ll find a cave where Medusa lives. As you go past that cave, you’ll come across a Grim Ogre.

Fight the Grim Ogre. It’s pretty much like fighting a regular Ogre, so you shouldn’t have too much trouble right now.

Once you beat the Grim Ogre, you’ll usually get about two to three Ogre Talons. But sometimes, that might not be enough for what you need. If that’s the case, you can go to the Forgery shop to get more Ogre Talons.

Head to the Checkpoint Rest Town and visit Ibrahim’s Scrap Store. Speak with him and request a forgery for the Ogre Talon at the price of 2,400 G.

Nearby, you’ll find a bench. Utilize it to skip a day or two, then return to Ibrahim’s shop. Claim your forgery, and it will provide you with an additional Ogre Talon.

You can use this trick as many times as you want. The price is reasonable, and you only need a few Ogre Talons for certain gear.

Used to Enhance Equipment

You can make your gear better by using Ogre Talon at a Vendor who has an armory or a smithy. Enhancing equipment means using materials and Gold to make your armor or weapons stronger or give them special effects.

Finding Vendors

You can usually find Vendors in places like Melve or Vernworth. When you spot a Vendor, there’s usually an Inn nearby where you can take out or store items.

Just be careful not to pull out your weapon accidentally. This can scare the Vendors away, and you won’t be able to talk to them for a while.
