In Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you’ll come across the Storeroom Key in Belurat, Tower Settlement.

This key opens a hidden room near the “Small Private Altar” Site of Grace. To locate it, you’ll need to do some exploring in the dungeon.

How to Get Storeroom Key in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

Start at the “Small Private Altar” Site of Grace in the Belurat Tower Settlement dungeon. Go outside, turn right, and head up the stairs.

Wait for the horned knight to walk past, then follow them to the left. You can either fight the knight or sneak past. Look for an entryway on your right and go through it.

Watch out for an enemy on your left behind the wall—they might sneak up on you. Take care of them, then move around the corner.

You’ll see another enemy in front of you, and one more will jump out from the right. Defeat both of them. Climb the rubble on your left, drop down the other side, and enter the small room near the sewer drain.

Inside, you’ll see another enemy near a ladder. Deal with them, then climb the ladder. At the top, you’ll find the Storeroom Key on a dead body. Just interact with the body to pick up the key.

How to Use Storeroom Key in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?

To use the Storeroom Key, you can either retrace your steps to the “Small Private Altar” Site of Grace or fast travel there.

Once you’re back at the “Small Private Altar,” head left instead of right. Walk onto the walkway where two sorcerer shades are standing. Take them out and continue to the other side. The Storeroom is on your left.

Inside the Storeroom, you’ll find an old woman muttering to herself. This is the Hornsent Grandam NPC. However, if you haven’t completed the dungeon yet, there isn’t much more you can do here.

To get the Hornsent Grandam to interact with you, you’ll need to defeat the dungeon’s boss, the Divine Beast Dancing Lion.

After defeating the Divine Beast Dancing Lion and obtaining the Divine Beast Head helm, return to the Storeroom.

Equip the Divine Beast Head helm and speak to the old woman again. The model of the Divine Beast Dancing Lion’s head in the corner is a clue.

With the Divine Beast Head helm equipped, the Hornsent Grandam will come to life and start talking to you.

Keep talking with her, and she will ask you to “take vengeance on Messmer and his lot.” At the end of the conversation, she will reward you with a new Incantation spell: “Watchful Spirit.”

“Watchful Spirit” summons a guardian spirit above your head. It costs 12 FP to use, requires a Faith stat of 26, and uses one Memory Slot.
