Boosters are really important because they help you succeed more often in the game. They work automatically and you can use them as much as you want.

However, it can be confusing to figure out how to unlock and equip Boosters. Don’t worry!

In this article, I will show you exactly how to get and use Boosters in Helldivers 2. You’ll also find a full list of all the Boosters, including what they do and how much they cost, available from the start.

How to Get Boosters in Helldivers 2?

To get Boosters in Helldivers 2, go to the Acquisitions menu (press Square on PS5). Unlock tiles using medals, and you’ll find a Booster every two pages. You can also find Boosters in the Steeled Veterans Centre, which is the paid battle pass.

You can buy Boosters with Medals through Warbonds (Helldivers Mobilize and Steeled Veterans) in the Acquisition Centre. At launch, there are seven Boosters, each providing special squad benefits like resistance to injury and better stamina.

Boosters can be used unlimited times. If a Booster doesn’t show up for you, it means another player has already chosen it.

How To Use Boosters in Helldivers 2?

To use Boosters in Helldivers 2, follow these steps:

1. Before jumping onto the planet, select your jump point on the map when your diver goes into the Hellpod.
2. After selecting the jump point, the game will prompt you to pick four stratagems.
3. Next to the four stratagems, there is a hexagonal empty box for Booster selection during the loadout screen.
4. Select a Booster from this box. If no squad mates select a Booster and press the ready button, no Booster effect will be applied.
5. A full squad can select up to four different Boosters for each mission. Once a player picks a Booster, it becomes disabled for others, meaning you cannot pick the same Booster twice to stack effects.
6. The Booster effects are applied to the entire team, so having four unique Boosters selected by four squad mates will give the team four unique passive buffs.

For example, if one squad mate selects the Hellpod Space Optimization Booster, the other three will see this Booster disabled and will need to choose different ones.

How Boosters Work in Helldivers 2 and Effect the Game?

Boosters in Helldivers 2 work like this:

• Boosters are not single-use. Once you have them, they don’t expire and you can equip them at the start of any mission.
• You can only choose one Booster per mission when selecting your Stratagems and Equipment.
• The effects of a Booster apply to the whole team. For example, if one player equips a Booster that reduces injury chance, everyone benefits from reduced injury chance.
• The same Booster can’t be equipped by multiple team members to stack its effects. If you can’t equip a Booster you own, it’s because another player has already equipped it.
• All Boosters are available within Warbonds and can be purchased with Medals.

To use Boosters effectively, make sure each team member equips a different Booster, so the whole team benefits from various effects.

Since Boosters have no drawbacks and can be used infinitely, you should always equip them for every mission, especially on higher difficulties where you need every advantage.
