How to Fix Wuthering Waves Not Launching on Epic Games?

Wuthering Waves uses its own launcher, so if you tried to open it through Epic Games on PC and nothing happened, you’re not alone.

While there isn’t a direct fix, you can still launch the game by using the launcher.exe file in the game’s folder. Here’s how you can do it:

1. Open Epic Games and find Wuthering Waves in your Library.
2. Click the three dots next to the game and select Manage.
3. In the Installation section, click the folder icon to open the game files.
4. Look for the launcher.exe application in this folder (it should have an admin icon).
5. Launch this application.

Make sure not to use the launcher_epic file, as it doesn’t work. When you use launcher.exe, it will ask for admin permissions, and then the Wuthering Waves launcher will open.

You can use it just like you would with games like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. This is also where you can fully preload the game before its release.

If you tried to launch Wuthering Waves through the Epic Games launcher before, the faulty launcher’s process might still be running in the background, even if you’ve closed Epic Games. To fix this:

1. Open the Task Manager.
2. Find the KRLauncherEpic process and end it.
3. Reopen the Epic Games launcher, and if Wuthering Waves isn’t marked as Running, then everything is back to normal.
