Here are some things you could try to fix the bug:
- Put all your pals back in the Palbox and pick up any loose items lying around. Too many items on the ground might be causing the problem.
- Change a setting in your world to make sure there aren’t too many dropped items. Set the Maximum number of dropped items to zero, then restart your game.
- When your game tries to save, quit the game right away. You’ll see a message in the top right corner of your screen when it’s saving.
- If you have a lot of structures outside your bases, try destroying some of them. This might help with the bug.
