Find And Defeat Lich in Dragon's Dogma 2

But when night falls, undead creatures come out. These include skeletons, ghosts, and other spooky types. They’re easier to defeat, but bosses like the Lich need some planning and strategy to take them down.

The Lich is a powerful flying undead sorcerer in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It can summon more undead to the battle, making it tougher.

Just like dealing with Wights is easier with ranged tactics, you’ll likely need a ranged strategy to defeat the Lich as well.

In this article, I will show you where you can find Linch and how you can defeat them.

How To Find Lich in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

You have to head west from Bakbattahl during the nighttime. You’ll spot a Lich flying near the Crumbling Ruins cave in that direction. In this area, you’ll also come across phantasms, skeletons, and zombies.

This boss fight is simpler compared to the one in the Tomb of Al’Guttos, found on the farthest west side of Bakbattahl.

As you approach the Tomb of Al’Guttos, you’ll encounter a Drake near the waterfall. Then, head east and you will spot the smoke from a campfire. Climb up the platform, and you’ll see the entrance to the tomb right after the campfire.

The Lich fight at the Tomb of Al’Guttos is challenging because the boss summons a Fell Lord to battle you. Fell Lords are among the toughest undead enemies and require immediate attention in the fight.

AttackDescription
Tracking OrbsThe Lich summons a couple of orbs that track nearby targets.
Elemental Blast OrbsThe Lich will summon eight elemental orbs that detonate on impact.
Undead Summon SpellIf you or your pawns get too close to the Lich for melee attacks, the boss will cast an Undead Summon spell. You can tell when this is happening because a purple aura will appear beneath the boss. This aura brings more skeletons and zombies into the boss fight.
Summons or Revives A Fell LordDuring the encounter in the Tomb of Al’Guttos, the Lich will be accompanied by a Fell Lord. If you defeat the Fell Lord first, the boss will try to revive it. This is a unique aspect of this particular encounter.

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, the Lich is an undead boss, making it vulnerable to Holy damage. You can deal significant damage to it using Holy attacks from weapons with a Holy buffed weapon for melee vocations.

Additionally, Holy magic spells like Empyrean or High Empyrean can also be very effective against Lich and you could quickly defeat Lich boss.

Melee classes might struggle against a Lich since it spends most of its time airborne. It’s recommended to have one or two ranged vocations in your party to deal damage effectively. A Magick Archer or an Archer can deal significant damage to the Lich.

Once the boss has taken enough damage, it will eventually fall to the ground, allowing you to deal melee damage. After defeating a Lich, you will get a Wailing Crystal drop.
