Does Palworld Have Crossplay or Cross-Platform?

Palworld supports crossplay between the Xbox Series X|S console version and the Xbox Store PC version, whether you bought it or got it through Game Pass.

But it doesn’t support crossplay with the Steam version. So, if you have Palworld on Steam, you can only play with other Steam players. And if you have the Game Pass version, you can play with other Game Pass players.

Why?

Well, Game Pass and Steam use different versions of the game. Game Pass has an older version because of Xbox certification issues.

But Steam players get updates a bit sooner, so they’re playing a slightly newer version.

Does Palworld Have Cross-Platform Progress?

Can you transfer your game progress between PC and Xbox in Palworld? The answer is mostly no.

If you have the Steam version, you cannot transfer your progress to the Xbox. However, if you play on Xbox Series X|S, you can switch between the Xbox Store version and keep your progress.

This shouldn’t discourage you from enjoying Palworld, especially if you mainly want to play single-player.

Just remember that if you buy the game on Steam, you will be limited to playing and progressing on Steam only, with no crossplay or cross-platform progression available.

Will Palworld Support Steam Crossplay or Steam Cross-Platform Progression Later?

Palworld is expected to get crossplay between Steam and Game Pass in the future, but the exact timing is still unknown. The game’s developer, Pocketpair, has shared a roadmap indicating that crossplay is planned, along with new Pals, bosses, Raid Bosses, PvP, and other features.

Although Pocketpair has confirmed crossplay is coming, they haven’t provided a specific timeline. Since the game’s release, there have been no major updates about when this feature will be available. According to the developers, it will be implemented “as soon as possible!”

Currently, if you’re playing Palworld on Xbox (PC or console), it supports crossplay and cross-platform progression with non-Steam versions. However, if you’re playing on Steam, you’re limited to playing with other Steam users.
