The Helmet is a very important armor in DD2. Nobody wants to take damage in their head and die instantly.

But the main problem is, if you wear your helmet you can’t see your Arisen’s face. So many players decide not to wear helmets and play helmetless.

If you spent hours and hours customizing your Arisen, you would want to see your Arisen’s face in the game and benefit from the protective stat boosts from the item.

Today I will tell you, Can you hide your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2? Also, I will show you how to remove your helmet in DD2 and where to find helmets in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Can You Hide Helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

The answer is no. As of writing, there’s no way to hide your Arisen’s helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2. If you want to see your Arisen’s face then you have to remove your helmet.

DD2 didn’t allow you to hide your helmet. I checked all the settings but I couldn’t find any way to hide the helmet.

If you truly want to see your character’s face, you must remove the helmet. Or you can wear a helmet that’s got an open front or a visor that can be raised.

Right now, that’s the only legal way to see your Arisen’s face in the game. Maybe they add this feature in the upcoming updates. But, right now, you can’t hide your helmet and keep its benefits.

So, if you want to be protected, you have to wear your helmet. But if you prioritize your style over protection then you might want to remove your helmet. If you don’t know how to remove your helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2, then the next section is for you.

But first, let’s learn, why we actually need to hide or remove our helmet.

Why do you need to hide your helmet?

Besides just looking nice, in Dragon’s Dogma 2, there’s a real gameplay advantage to not showing your character’s helmet, especially for pawns.

A new feature called Dragonsplague can be really dangerous, so it’s important to watch out for signs of it.

One of these signs is pawns getting glowing red eyes. But if they’re wearing a big helmet, you won’t be able to see their eyes and notice the infection.

To ensure you don’t miss the sign, I’d recommend manually unequipping their headpiece from time to time to be safe.

How to Remove Helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

You have to open your item menu (via pause screen) to remove the helmet in Dragon’s Dogma 2. After you open your item menu, follow these instructions to remove your helmet:

  • Click on the helmet icon in the top right corner. Here you’ll be shown all of the helmets you currently have in your inventory including the one you’ve currently equipped to your Arisen.
  • To remove the helmet, select the one you’ve got equipped from your inventory menu.
  • Choose the ‘Remove’ option that appears in the dropbox menu.
  • Once selected, your Arisen will no longer be wearing that helmet.

Where to find helmets in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

The easiest way to get helmets in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is to buy them from an Armory or Smithy whenever you visit a place like Vernworth. These vendors sell all sorts of things, including helmets.

But sometimes, you might find a helmet in a chest while exploring. It’s like how we found trousers once. So, keep your eyes open!

However, if you’re looking for a particular helmet to customize your Arisen’s stats in a certain way, it’s better to buy it instead of relying on luck.

Low-Profile Helmet Alternatives

Besides helmets that cover the whole face, some headgear items are smaller, so you can still see your character’s face and hair.

These include things like circles, crowns, masks, and eyewear. They give your character special abilities and stats without hiding their face completely. Here are a few you might find interesting.
