Do you want to know How to Beat Rellana in Shadow of the Erdtree?

Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, is one of the main bosses in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.
You can find her in Castle Ensis. Defeating her lets you move on to Scadu Altus, but you can also bypass Castle Ensis and reach Scadu Altus without fighting her if she’s too tough for you.
However, if you’ve already made it through Castle Ensis, you probably don’t want all that effort to go to waste.

How to Beat Rellana in Shadow of the Erdtree?

The key to defeating Rellana is to use resilient summons to distract her while you attack from a safe distance with ranged, non-magic-based Ash of War or spells.
Here’s a simple guide to help you succeed.
What You Need to Beat Rellana in Shadow of the Erdtree:

- One NPC Ally: Choose either Dryleaf Dane or Needle Knight Leda, but not both.
- Magic-Resistant Spirit Ash: Mimic Tear and Greatshield Soldiers are good choices.
- Upgraded Weapon with Long-Range Ash of War or Elemental Damage Spell: Thunderbolt works well, or you can use something like Glintstone Icecrag for Frostbite.
- Spelldrake Talisman +3 (Optional but Recommended): Increases your magic damage resistance.
Avoid Summoning Both NPC Allies

Summoning both Leda and Dane increases Rellana’s health significantly, making the fight much harder. Stick to one NPC ally to keep her health manageable.
Finding the Spelldrake Talisman +3

Go to the Castle Front Site of Grace on the eastern side of the Ellac Greatbridge. On the smaller bridge leading to Castle Ensis, there’s a path underneath filled with bats.
At the end, you’ll find a secret room with the talisman in a chest. This will help you withstand Rellana’s magic attacks.
Getting Thunderbolt Ash of War

If you don’t have Thunderbolt, head to Leyndell in the Lands Between.
From the Avenue Balcony Site of Grace, go down the stairs, through the door, and hop over the left balcony to find a wandering scarab that drops Thunderbolt.
Alternative for Magic Users

If you’re focused on magic, get Glintstone Icecrag from Seluvis at his Rise near Carian Manor or from his bell-bearing shop after completing his quest.
Strategy to Beat Rellana

- Entering the Arena: Lock on to Rellana and dodge her attacks until your NPC helper draws her attention.
- Summon Spirit Ash: Once safe, summon your Spirit Ash and attack from a distance with your ranged Ash of War, restoring FP as needed.
- Watch Out for Key Attacks:
- Carian Phalanx: Strafe sideways or roll forwards to dodge the blue swords.
- Carian Slicer: Roll forward through the beam-like attack.
- Managing Aggro: If Rellana targets you, back off until your helpers regain her attention.
- Phase Two at 50% Health: Rellana will enhance her swords with magic and fire. Continue your strategy but be cautious of her AoE attacks.
- Final Phase at 25% Health: Rellana uses her devastating Twin Moon spell, which deals massive damage. Roll just before the first wave hits the ground and continue rolling to avoid all three waves. The Spelldrake talisman +3 will help reduce this damage.
Final Tips

In the last stages, if your helpers are defeated, stay calm. Stick to your strategy, retreat to the edge of her attacks, and use the wind-up of her animations to land the final blows.
By following these steps, you’ll be able to defeat Rellana, Twin Moon Knight, and progress in Shadow of the Erdtree.
