How To Get Dryleaf Arts in Shadow of the Erdtree?

Unlocking Dryleaf Arts in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree is a straightforward process, but there are a few steps you need to follow to meet Dryleaf Dane and learn his techniques.

First, it’s helpful to have defeated both the Divine Beast Dancing Lion at Belurat Tower Settlement and Rellana, Twin Moon Knight at Castle Ensis. Although these battles aren’t strictly necessary, we recommend completing them first just to be safe.

After defeating Rellana, head to the Highroad Cross Site of Grace. Here, you can talk to Leda and the Hornsent, and you’ll also pick up the Monk’s Missive Note and the ‘May the Best Win’ gesture.

The Monk’s Missive Note, written by Dryleaf Dane, says, “Seek me to the east if you wish to pursue the way of a warrior. When you find me, you will challenge me to a bout. There is no need for words.”

Now, head east from Highroad Cross, and you’ll soon reach Moorth Ruins. You’ll find Dryleaf Dane there, and he won’t be in the mood for talking.

Use the ‘May the Best Win’ gesture in front of him to challenge him to a duel, which will begin immediately.

Don’t worry if Dryleaf Dane defeats you at first; you can attempt the fight multiple times.

Once you finally beat him, he’ll disappear, leaving behind a message, his hat, and the Dryleaf Arts, which you can now equip and use.

Enjoy your new skills and the journey through The Lands Between!
