In Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll come across the elves of Sacred Arbor who speak only Elvish.

This can make it challenging to follow their quests or understand the items and prices in their shops. To make your interactions with them easier, it’s really helpful to learn Elvish.

In this article, I will show you How to Learn Elvish in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to Learn Elvish in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

You can make your interactions with the elves of Sacred Arbor much smoother by learning Elvish.

To Learn Elvish, you’ll need the Woodland Wordsmith’s Tome, which allows your Main Pawn to specialize in translating Elvish.

Once your Main Pawn learns this skill, they’ll automatically translate any Elvish words, numbers, and spoken language you come across while dealing with elves.

To get the Woodland Wordsmith’s Tome, you need to give gifts to an elf in Sacred Arbor for a few in-game days.

First, meet and speak with the elf to get their name in your NPC Logbook, which you can find in the History section of your Pause Menu.

This logbook will show you what kinds of gifts the elf likes. Generally, elves have a fondness for beautiful things, so Three Bunch of Flowers should usually do the trick.

If you prefer a different approach, you can use the Arborheart Riftstone in Sacred Arbor.

This allows you to view Unique Pawns and summon Official Pawns. By sorting these pawns by specialization, you can find a Support Pawn who already knows Woodland Wordsmith.

Hiring one of these pawns provides you with an Elvish translator without changing your Main Pawn’s current specialization.

This method is particularly useful if you want a translator but don’t want to alter your Main Pawn’s abilities. Below, you’ll find more details on how to acquire the Woodland Wordsmith’s Tome, including the specific steps and requirements.

How to Get Woodland Wordsmith’s Tome in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

To get the Woodland Wordsmith’s Tome in Dragon’s Dogma 2, you’ll need to give Grisha, or any other elf you choose, a Bunch of Flowers once a day for three in-game days.

On the fourth day, Grisha will reward you with the Woodland Wordsmith’s Tome. You can find Grisha in her Armory located at the south end of Sacred Arbor.

If you need to craft the three Bunches of Flowers, gather the required materials. Four Sunblooms can be found in front of The Arborheart in Sacred Arbor, and you can collect Moonglow from the nearby Malachite Forest.

Once you have at least three of each, you can craft the Bunches of Flowers.

Here are the recipes for crafting a Bunch of Flowers:

  • Noonbloom x1, Moonglow x1
  • Sunbloom x1, Moonglow x1
  • Sunbloom x1, Noonbloom x1

With these materials and recipes, you’ll be able to create the Bunches of Flowers needed to earn the Woodland Wordsmith’s Tome from Grisha.

How to Recruit a Woodland Wordsmith Pawn in Dragon’s Dogma 2?

The easiest way to learn Elvish in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is to recruit a pawn from the Rift who already has the Woodland Wordsmith specialization.

This saves you the trouble of collecting gifts and waiting for in-game days to pass.

To do this, simply search for online pawns in the Rift from other players or use the Official Pawn list.

Using the Official Pawn list is more efficient because it avoids the randomness of waiting for the right pawn to appear.

Check the Specialization tab in the Official Pawns list, and recruit any pawn that has the Woodland Wordsmith skill.

This way, you’ll have a translator ready to help you understand the elves of Sacred Arbor without changing your Main Pawn’s specialization.
